Arrive early for a taste of anime’s cousin- the over-the-top special-efficts live action shows that rule Sunday mornings in Japan!
7:00 Greeting- Watching any good anime lately?
Program: We’ll take a look at retro classic Dirty Pair. A blend of science fiction and comedy, with a bit of 007 stirred in. Kei and Yuri are the “Lovely Angels”, a pair of galactic trouble consultants. They usually succeed in their mission, but disaster follows in their wake. Hey, it’s not their fault!
A fan favorite in the US and Japan, Kei and Yuri cosplayers took the stage at early anime cons, and Star Trek: Next Generation is filled with Dirty Pair references. An English dub will be released soon by Nozomi.
