Animarithon, at BGSU, is celebrating its 17th year on March 30 & 31. It’s a great event, with plenty to see and do. Special guests include voice actors, musical guests, and celebrity cosplayers.
There’s a large dealer room featuring art, mecha models, and other geeky collectables. Ohio Kimono will also be there, with a large selection of new and used kimono and inexpensive yukata, along with all the accessories you might want for a complete ensemble.
A large number of attendees cosplay, there’s a manga library if you want to take a break to sit and read, and they’re having a maid cafe this year. The schedule of panels and workshops will be posted closer to the con date.
Attendance is only $10 at the door, with a $20 VIP pre-registration that includes a t-shirt and early access to the dealer room.
If you’ve never been to an anime con, this would be a good one to try. Wouldn’t it be fun to meet up as a group there?
